Price to Explain Lumeta Research Labs’ 10 Years of Research in Mapping the Internet; Talk Will Take Place on Tuesday, July 15 at 11:30 A.M.
Somerset, NJ – July 14, 2008 - Lumeta, the leading provider of Network Assurance solutions for enterprises and government agencies, today announced that Tom Price, Director of Product Management for Lumeta, will discuss Lumeta Research Labs’ 10 years of research in mapping the Internet at the Network Mapping and Measurement Conference, which is being held at the Laboratory for Telecommunications Sciences in College Park, MD, July 14-16.
Price will present on Tuesday, July 15 at 11:30 A.M.
In his presentation, Price will explain how the project gathers data on the topology of the Internet, how the data is used, and why it is important. The session will also discuss how the same approach to network mapping has been adopted by corporate and government networks to routinely review network devices, Internet address space and key attributes of connectivity as a way of gaining critical visibility into today’s most onerous network management and security issues. Visual analystics of network topology and connectivity can illuminate unexpected results that enable organizations to fine tune management approaches and security postures.
